I feel though that you did what a lot of talented people did in the contest.
Created a beautiful piece of art that doesn't necessarily give us what the contest asks for.
If the contest is to create a colossus, that really should be the main focus.
No matter how wonderful the art is, if the design is typical, or the colossus isn't even really there, how can anyone use the concept?
Keep the colossus design at the forefront and leave the atmosphere to the developers.
Some of the pieces at the top of the fav list don't even show the colossus at all.
Well...maybe 5-20% of it. They are there however, because they are nice pieces of art.
You seem to have the talent to pull off a great entry, so please take my advice.
Secondly; you are right about that it does not show off the colossus very much. As I said earlier to Alwayssimple; I will probably make another entry which is more about the colossus itself. This piece did not really start out as a piece for the contest.
